What the real tragedy is the inability of the majority of the population to accept that they were wrong and that they were lied to at great scale.
A large portion of society would rather continue living in the illusion of a lie, than rather having an ounce of humility and admit they were deceived.
This is why covid went the way it did.
Hubris is one of humanities greatest faults.
