Problem isn't the meme, it's the application of it. Memes stop being worthwhile when people who don't really get it start using it and eventually change the meaning of it, almost always negatively.
Kekistan was originally a pisstake of the UK census which allowed individuals to decide their own ethnicity, and Sargon urged everyone to put Kekistan so that it would be a recognised minority group, and anyone discriminating against these people and their culture would be racist, it was supposed to be a joke at the expense of the system, like when people registered their religion as 'Jedi' and it had to be recognised, and then you get the fucking autists who genuinely go out in Jedi robes and believe in the force and some shit. The same goes for halfcast people in fedoras flying a Kekistan flag at a 'free speech' rally. People ruin these parodies by taking it seriously, it's always going to happen, and it's always going to be cringe inducing.
But fuck, it's not like /pol/ to cry about appropriation, just move on. Let the cringe die out as it always does in the natural life cycle of a meme.
