For cardio like the elliptical, treadmill, etc it varies a bit more. I think about 30 minutes is most common, but anywhere between 30-60 minutes is still very typical.
Remember to keep the big picture in mind! I see a lot of people get discouraged when they miss a day and then it snowballs from there. Missing one day of exercise is irrelevant in the context of your health and your life. Remember to keep trying!
