Things like seeing too far for the math that describes the shape and size of the earth to hold true to reality destroy the globe as does gas needing containment to have pressure meaning we couldn't have an atmosphere next to the vacuum of space.
You'll hear bullshit excuses like refraction for long range observations and gravity being a container but if you actually look into them you'll see them for what they are, bullshit explanations with no basis in reality.
