Life is a continuous succession of borrowings and loans. We borrow from earth and from the animal kingdom to ensure our subsistence, but when we pass away we give back to earth what we have taken in our lifetime. Why do we pity a man laden with debts in life, but insist on lamenting his departure when he settles the debt he owes to nature?
