The objective is not to convince you of anything one way or another; it's to cloud the subject with so much misinformation that you can't distinguish between what is true and what isn't true.
They first tried using people's patriotism and naivete, then they used threats and intimidation. But they realized that the schizos were an asset to their cause so they set out to create more and flood the public with so much nonsense that no one could tell what really happened and what was a lie.
