To make matters better, I just want to mention that you are very close to passing tutorial and converting your world into hardmode which is like 67% of the game. It will be rather challenging at first, but you are playing on normal so it shouldn't be anything you cannot deal with.
Have you found an underground spider nest btw? Big spiders spawn there in hardmode, you can also find hairstylist NPC trapped in there - it is my favourite place to start hardmode, I just go there, farm some fangs and get out with OP summoner eq and army that carries me while mining for stuff.
