for the time being I'm pulling a warren buffet and reading annual reports all day, so here's a quick summary of today's company:
Pinstripe holding company (PNST) has been around since 2006 but only last year got the SPAC treatment in order to aggressively expand. They offer higher end Italian food with bowling and bocce in the same building, and also private event space. half of their sales are in private events, so they always need big buildings, in fact old department stores are ideal, two of their midwest locations are in old Sears.
As long as they build in the right location with plenty of upper middle class people, locations turn 8 million in sales in their second year. I'm sure there's a few locations that don't do that, but they kinda admitted that they really only need their Chicago and midwest locations to keep them afloat, so I assume the east coast isn't doing so well, and their CA and WA locations are too soon to tell.
One thing that gives me hope for the future is their CEO, Dale Schwartz, my man met his wife on a vacation to columbia, flirted with her at the hotel she worked at, they had a ldr for a bit, but he imported her, she's 20 years younger than him, has one kid from a previous marriage so her kids are 24, 7, 6 and 4. Dude married at 50, there's hope for all of us, as long as we are cool with importing. I myself wouldn't mind importing a eastern europoor, or a russian lass looking to escape from pootin.
Apparently the Sunday brunch buffet is amazing, so much that they are expanding it to Saturday, great place to take your gay friends to for brunch and gossip.
I got tons more, but long story short this thing is kinda dope, but conditions aren't there, I'll pass for a year or so, go back and see if its better. hope they expand to my area, I'll take a pretty lady there for Angry Birds bowling (not yet, but they'll get projection mapping tech soon)
any of yous anons done some annual report reading lately? let me know about a cool company.
