A real causefag is someone who risks their life and signs up to be in organizations like doctors without borders in places like Syria, Libya, or Yugoslavia during it's civil war or just an average Joe volunteering to clear rubble from a major storm and search for dead bodies and occasional survivors knowing very well that what they're doing is dangerous and could get them killed.
