>>14251119I used to write in a journal every day. In order to fill the page, I would write about what's bothering me. So I would think about those things for maybe 30min-1hr every day, and I couldn't shake the feeling of depression.
After 7 years of this, I put down the journal, and guess what? In a year's time, I was having fun in life and didn't care so much about things.
12 months ago, I found myself living back at my parents' place, and decided I would help clear trees. I took an axe, which I had never used before, and started slinging it at trees. 12 months later, I had cleared a quarter-acre of trees and brush mainly with an axe.
After all that axe work, I physically feel better than I ever have before, and I look much better. I'm also a lot stronger.
So now, I think less about sad things, and I physically feel better, and I'm more confident in myself.
I recommend similar things to you. I'm sure you're holding on to sad feelings that you should let go, and I think learning a new physical hobby would make you feel better. It certainly made my life a lot better.
