sex was the first truly religious experience i'd ever had. i am extremely sex-positive in the sense that i think sex with someone you have a real connection with, temporary or otherwise, is one of the few redeeming bits of the human experience. that being said, not all sex is "real" sex. you can take part in (relatively) great quantities of sexual activity with many partners over your lifetime and never run the risk of having to deal with its negative side, so long as you keep the connection central to your understanding of it. but as soon as you turn away from the holiness of it, the holiness of it will also abandon you. i hope that makes sense.
