>>3471404Brigadoon. I post it frequently but in the scheme of thing it's actually pretty obscure. Has one of the biggest instances of tonal whiplash I've ever seen in an anime and deconstructs at bunch of subgenres at once and subverts even more subgenres at the same time. Also helps that it's genuinely funny, most cute anime that go down the seinen route stop being funny after a big plot twist but Brigadoon manages to throw in great humor and heartcrushing cliffhangers into the same episodes throughout the show. Top-tier shoujo/shonen/seinen.
