>>21263508Kelly wasn’t exactly a beach regular. The nightlife of Spaghetti Town, whether that be wild sessions at Club Xtacy, attending gigs featuring her favorite musicians or even dropping in at local indies, was the scene she was more familiar with. Even at this time of year the beach was hot, and on a sunny day like this, so very bright. At least the shades help with that.
Besides, it wasn’t as if Kelly disliked the beach. For her, it was simply one of those things best experienced in a less chaotic environment than that of the pulsating crowd gathered around the bar area. Reminded her too much of that mob she and Sheila ran into the last time they were both here.
But, after winning the tag titles with Sheila in the wake of tagging with Kasumi for months, Kelly never considered missing Kasumi’s party to be an option. She owed it to her friend to show some support. And, more pertinently given the look of concern on Sheila’s face, she owed it to her partner to put her at ease. She smiles at Sheila.
> Don’t worry about Kasumi. She’s one of my closest friends here and I’m sure she knows what you mean to me. It’s just, seeing the two of us doing so well as a team so quickly, it’s probably a little weird for her after all those months me and her tagged, you know?> But she’s got a new goal now. Duna. Speaking of, if she doesn’t want to talk to you, who cares? Her loss right?Kelly laughs as Sheila comments on the bikini.
> Well, you like it more on me, I like it more on you. Let’s call it a draw. When Sheila asks her to lead the way, Kelly smiles and takes her partner by the hand.
> Sure… just one or two drinks… or three… or four…
