I don't have much problem if I'm just walking to the store on my own, but being in a crowded restaurant or something is when it gets bad. Honestly I don't think it's good for a child's development for them to be raised by one person one day and then to have that person suddenly disappear once they're no longer needed by the real parents. Children who bounce around foster homes don't usually turn out great, as an example. At least if they're in your family they will still be able to see them sometimes
