If they are really shitty ass tattoos I feel like it can be a tell that they don't have any respect for themselves or their bodies.
That's subjective though. You shouldn't judge a book by its cover. However, you should also keep in mind that the cover can often give you a few hints as to what it's all about and it shouldn't be entirely discarded either.
