And if you go back and see, early day social media wasn't anywhere near as cancerous as most folks would spend just a few minutes at most a day online. The introduction of the smartphone was what really killed the internet. The massive influx of normies it brought. People could attend to their social media while at the same time not sacrificing their social lives. The smartphone also rapidly expanded the online marketplace which sucked in even more people. And now we're at the point that everyone is addicted to their smartphone and social media, constantly begging and virtue signaling for social credit points
