yeah, going to the store so much i realized i have really strange taste in guitar visuals apparently. just want a solid matte dark color with straight edge tuners, but there were like 3 basses out of 50 that fit that description, fortunately the color on this one isn't too terrible offensive and i think the tuner thing is the bigger deal for me
either way both sounds and feels a thousand times better which is the important part
