I checked my security cameras, to see if they might have caught a glimpse of the haunter, but all that showed up on the feed was... whiteness. Apparently, there had been a massive and super-thick fog over my town that night, resulting in it basically being impossible to see like half a meter in front of you. All the weather forecasters the next day were in a complete frenzy over how weird it was; It had appeared and gone just so suddenly, and in such a concentrated area... the epicenter of which, through some magic, had been my own house.
I called the police over again, as well as some cleaners to get rid of the mess which I would never be able to dispose of myself. The cleaners came to me during this, having found something interesting: In the corpses of a few of the frogs, they'd found small pieces of paper, with these letters written on them: C I N O R T It seemed to me like it must be an anagram of my haunter's name, or something related to her identity. Thing is, with Lojban, there are a lot of meaningful strings with these six letters.
