D3 is the active ingredient in a lot of rat poison blocks but they dont use enough to just kill the rats, they use enough so you keep buying it.
Use 10 or so pills or even break a gel cap over a frosted mini wheat and leave it around where you have rats and they will be no more at the first treatment.
