>>3135724About two years ago, I had a dream that there was an abstract monster tearing through the woods behind my house. Very deep rhythmic roars, white angular planes (not airplanes, like geometric planes) all over its body, infinite numbers of legs but moved like a quadruped. My house was actually the church I went to as a child, and all the congregants were running around, screaming and trying to get away.
I hid under a table, petrified with fear, trying to come to terms with the cosmic terror I felt. I didn't fear dying, it was a bigger death than just a physical death. The ground beneath me started shaking as it got closer, and I looked at my hands which were trembling so much they were a little blurry.
Then I woke up. The monster's sounds were actually my brother's snores from the next room, but I was sweaty as fuck and felt scared all day. I still think about that dream at least a couple times a week. It changed something in me.
