>>14924223My friend is 43, had a baby the other day with a girl who was in her early 30s and a trainwreck of sorts, but trying to get it together. My buddy is excited and happy, his parents or siblings will give him money to put a down payment on a house, but I hope it's his kid. The woman has an alcohol problem, antidepressants, a parent with liver failure, and the thing is, my friend is a "cool" influencer type with lots of popularity in his field, so why he couldn't find a decent woman to settle down, likely owes to his conceited personality, I suppose. He refuses to compromise I think.
He's happy, was lonely for the pandemic, that's how he got back together with this girl, who by the way delcared bankruptcy.
I'm mid30s, married in my early twenties, to an introvert woman who was my high school sweetie, we have 2 kids and a third on the way. She's all about budgeting, makes 3 times more than I ever had, keeps herself under 110lbs, and dreams only of spending time with me and the boys. We've always done everything together and she only "vacations" to family's house and occasionally two of my family members. I don't really have family so it works, but other people might not like a wife like that because her family is incredibly close and tight knit. Seeing my other friends' wives and girlfriends, and going out with my friends bothers me a bit. It does seem hopeless to meet a nice girl after your teenage years.
