If Germans were so good why were they so fucking shit at running factories?
German industry massively underperformed. For the capital Germany had available they underproduced basically all kinds of equipment. Why?
Because the fascist system promoted infighting and conflict that prevented cohesive organisation of production.
And also because of a pursuit of perfection that meant the Tiger driving out of the factory was a different model to the Tiger just three units ahead of it in the series, on average. Tigers weren't even built on a fucking production line.
