>>19558072>The curious thing is that Jewish Kabbalists associate the angel Gabriel, who supposedly revealed Islam to Muhammad, with the Sephirah of Yesod (Moon), that to its upper right is Netzach, the Sephirah of Venus>Greek god Hermes, known in Egypt as Thoth and in the Hellenistic period as Hermes Trismegistus, which Muslim esotericists associated with Idris, the Arabic name of the Prophet EnochThe upper left sephirah to Yesod is Hod, which is the planet Mercury (Hermes) and associate with the Angel Michael. Mercury in Hindu Jyotish is Budha, from which the word Buddha derived, the Buddhists' endgame is to transcend Samsara (Material World) through Nirvana (Gnosis), which is ruled by Yama, which is also have attributes associated with the sephirah of Yesod. This similarity between Buddhism and Gnosticism is interesting, although Hermeticism being Astrological Planetary Worship, just like all Qabbalistic based sects are. Hermeticism is the opposite of Gnosticism. Hermeticism seeks to take advantage of the Planetary Powers to advance further in this life and become closer to God, while Gnostics seek to shed the Planets (referring to them as Archons), by living extremely ascetic lifestyles (no material items, no possessions, no jobs, no sex etc) as a means to reject the planetary Archons and the material world.
