>>11556828Also, now that we're in this topic, not related to your teacher's response but I wish I could talk to some anons who have studied the Biology more than I have.
I've been wondering for a while, how is that we call gender a social construct, and how is that we can say gender varies independently from its biological and genetic expression but we don't say the same about other biological concepts for example:
Age, if gener is a social construct why age isn't?
>but it isSo that would mean I can identify whatever age I feel like and people should recognize me as the age I identify, isn't it?
Another example:
>speciesSpecies is probably more social construct than gender is, in the sense that we don't know for sure what's an species, and we know less about the limitations of species, if we follow the same logic why can a man be inter species?
If perceiving yourself as the opposite gender is more than enough to have people consider you the opposite gender why isn't the same for species?
Why is that these are barely considered as "social constructs" as gender? I might be wrong here but if I said I'm a dog nobody would believe, even less create laws to protect people from discriminating me, why is that saying that I'm a woman is different?
Where's the proof that gender varies independently from genetics? same for age, same for species.
or im just retarded?
