i remember the first time we got cable and i watched Xena on a german channel, maybe RTL or Pro7. i was shocked at how long the commercial breaks were. almost 10 minutes or something iirc. doesn't seem like much now, but back then it felt endless. just one commercial after the other, they never stopped. and this shit where you have ads showing in a banner DURING THE SHOW? unheard of. fucking capitalism
the cartoon network commercials were just trailers for other shows i think, so i never noticed. they weren't advertising any product except for some rad toy once in a while. but i liked watching those
