>>20101873this is what i mean, i do remember her commenting on the ps2 situation. i had a single parent making $20k a year and life wasn't great until i picked up my own part time job. i've had so many things pawned or sold that it's mind boggling as to how we were able to make ends meet in the first place. she's going to make a good amount of money from the crochet and even $40k a year is a huge step up, i didn't mean that harshly towards her
>>20101975with all of this in mind, it's probably a pipe dream to go off-grid given my lack any real affinity towards mechanical/carpentry works then?
>its best to avoid the off-grid life.for the most part i really just want to live a somewhat self-sufficient lifestyle that doesn't require constant interaction in a city, as cringe as it probably sounds. i've found a lot of joy in things like practicing amateur chemistry to produce reagents i can use at home, learning first aid to a point of it being beneficial in my day-to-day, growing/hunting/fishing my own food etc. for lack of better wording it feels a lot more 'natural'. with that in mind, is /out/ or /diy/ a good place for reading to expand on these skills, or should i look somewhere else?
