As you have stated many are unwilling. The concept of introspection is alien to all but the stillest of waters. For those who are ostracized introspection seems obvious. When your entire world is comprised within your own head one would assume that all of us would have at least a fundamental understanding of what it takes to look into yourself but unfortunately introspection like so many other things seems to have been cast aside in favor of the material. Why would you want to understand yourself if the world is material? This is the blind devotion many have to a flawed ideology. One that enables and rewards those who know little but speak a lot. Like actors on a stage they merely play the parts they're assigned never stopping to question what the stage was truly offering them. It's a sad sort of affairs that almost all of us are characters constructed carefully over years of experiences instead of exploring ourselves to discern what is truly fulfilling.

My my so curious. I have studied diligently many realms of thought and considered academia the most important of all pursuits. In my time I have learned very little but observed and postulated on much. I cannot say what I am but I can say I am neither a philosopher nor a psychiatrist and I would never assume their respective mantles. I've lived by my desires and assumed the form that has best suited those desires.
To describe myself would take a lifetime to postulate before I could give an answer and it would take another lifetime to convey even the smallest bit of understanding.
