After training, Carmody takes a nice, long hot shower, hoping to steam out the rest of the hangover, and then spends a while in the mirror, primping and fixing her makeup. She's weary and still feeling beaten up by both the alcohol of last night and Nika at the last show, but she's hanging in there. She spends a bit too long in the mirror, fixing her makeup and dithering, and at length feels a sense of annoyance at herself for this vanity. Why's she so worried about this, all the sudden?
She catches herself. She's not completely lacking in self-awareness; she knows why.

Including Sola, who she'd wanted to talk to, about last night coming home from the party, and about her upcoming match with Holly Hope-Again. She's not even in her room. She finds a custodian cleaning the now-vacated training area and stops him.
>"Hey, where'd everybody go? Guess I took too long in the shower and they all left, huh?"The custodian's face scrunches up and he leans on his push-broom. "Well, Paule had to go off and do an interview show, and Kanako and Sola went out saying something about going for tea. LILLITH's in the kitchen as usual, and I think Kestrel and McDaid recorded a video, then went off to God knows where....."
She'd missed her. Dam.
>"Thanks, man."Things had a way of working out, though. Carmody was going to be a little busy. Her brother was coming down after the next WWA show to help her move her stuff in to her (Colby's) apartment, and she had to be a good host. That meant letting him crash and keeping him fed at a bare minimum, and probably also providing drinks. Carmody wasn't as good a cook as Mom or even Colby, but this was Bree she was thinking about: a couple hamburgers and baked potatoes with a side salad would do the trick. But it meant she had to go shopping.
