>>8719046I'm sure you have lots of good excuses, but that's not really something I care about. I care about results. The fruits, you know?
I like to think I'm a fair person. In my youth I was looking for spiritual community and I gave the christian congregations in my city a fair chance. I visited them all. The protestants, the catholics, the baptists, the pentecostals, the mormons and even the JW. All of them were for immigration. All of them were for miscegenation. All of them, while not outspoken proponents, were soft on feminism. Most of them had missions in Africa. Some of them run the asylum centers in my town. So as I say, pretty much indistinguishable from regular liberals in every sense that matters. I've been told here that "based" christians exist, but I for sure couldn't find any in my medium sized town, so that's no help to me.
I reasoned then that if I'm going to be a congregation of one I might as well make up my own spirituality instead of just adopting some semitic ideology that seems to inspire people into all the stuff I don't like in my society. But that's what's right for me, I'm not saying what's right for you. If there are based christian families here who are in hiding, then I wish them well. To each their own.
