as someone even older than you who was a NEET for longer than you've been alive lemme just say it's never, ever too late, no matter what anyone on this board may say, and any given day of the entire rest of your life you CAN wake up, put your foot down, and be done with that shit. you CAN improve. you CAN gain friends, love, knowledge, mastery of skills and reasons to keep going no matter how old you are.
read. take random-ass cheap or free classes online, or just study random things that interest you. lean to cook. eat healthier, especially when it comes to less carbs and sugars. depend less on caffeiene, alcohol, tobacco and drugs, though OCCASIONAL use is ok. force yourself outside more, even just to walk around your damn house in circles if you have to -- sunlight and fresh air, every day. learn to meditate or some other breathing exercise. religion can be a lifesaver, vehicle for purpose and way to meet and connect with people (including women) if you're open to it, but I'm not gonna tell you it's necessary. nothing wrong with playing games or watching anime or whatever despite what anyone here tells you as long as you're not literally doing it alone 24/7. at bare minimum start adding these other things into your life just a tiny bit, get a habit tracker on your phone, and if you're into the nerdy shit start finding others who share those interests online/irl outside of 4chan and major shitty social media sites. once you get a bit of confidence, think about getting a pet, and start looking into more serious (but not overly expensive) classes, pursue a certification or something. there's so much good work out there that doesn't need a shitty college degree and isn't back-breaking. hell, even online work or creative endeavors are more viable these days than ever before, just make sure you NEVER neglect your physicality or RL social life as you start to build it up more and more.
You can make it, anon. I believe in you.
