prophets often tell you how you have to do this or do that or they will die cause gods will smite them or whatever and they are going to hell
you get the same shit by politicians, lawmakers and doctors where they give advice to people but don't actually practice is (in other words: they don't be practocing what they preach)

that's the end tail of the joke, a prophet that is hated is essentially a martyr- I probably have some sort of martyrdom ideation since childhood because I was bullied from.early age both institutionally in scholl and domestically in the safety of my home
generally speaking the stronger the hate the stronger the martyr status so it's not too wacky to see people like me lie in a way that makss us seem much much more disgusting and awful and creepy for the better amusement
