He effortlessly shakes her off, tossing her halfway across the ring. But she scrambles to her feet and runs toward him, ducking below his attempted clothesline and running the ropes on the opposite side of the ring, before launching herself toward him with a running dropkick.
Cassie starts to clap slowly, and both Delilah and her sparring partner immediately stop their match and turn to face her. “Nicely done, but what’s the meaning of this?” Cassie asks. She glances at a number of documents which lay on the floor having fallen off the computer desk at some point. “There’s a ring below the nightclub. You didn’t have to set this up here.”
Out of breath and covered in sweat, Delilah exits the ring and approaches Cassie. “Miss Kade, I uhh, you said you wanted me to impress you, so I’ve been training every day since I challenged Cactus Jane. I even watched some tape to see what I could learn. A bunch of your sister’s matches actually. Well, I watched yours too of course, but I can’t really do the sort of power moves you do. But anyway, I didn’t want to neglect my duties to you, so I figured I’d train here, so I was never too far from my work.”
“Well this won’t do,” Cassie replies, eyeing the documents left on the floor once again. “I’ll have you moved to a bigger office.”
“Oh, thank you Miss Kade!” Delilah rushes forward, attempting to hug Cassie, who waves her off.
“No need for that. Just give Cactus an ass kicking for me,” Cassie replies. She turns to Lexi. “Come on.”
