It might be for the best I didn't stay then. I've been doing practice work at a botanical garden recently and since they were short on young men they had me do a lot of shovelling and nothing else. Perhaps what they've actually been trying to teach me is how to bury a body.

They seem to appeal to a very specific niche, people who like history but aren't too fond of non-fiction. Though you also have extensive fantasy series such as ASoIaF which are meticulous about their lore. They aren't historical fiction but they seem to be meant to fulfil a desire similar to learning history.

I see you are starting to get warmed to your new attendant.

But since I am still here I will also mention that this is how I imagined witches looked like when I was little. Back then I lived in a place where old people would scare us with a tale about a witch living in the nearby woods to keep us from going there at night. So that's exactly what I did. One of my favourite daydreams was that I would find the witch and I would marry her and live with her in the woods forever. But I never found anything.
