It definitely sucks quitting. Hell is very real as you toil through the days and can't sleep at night. The shadow people and demons will come out. Your brain is readjusting. But push through and after a few weeks you'll normalize. Then you'll get energy to do shit again. Then you'll create good habits. Then you'll get confidence. Then you'll socialize again.
These days I don't even think about drinking. I see it and it just doesn't really register. When it does, it's usually on the occasional weekend where it would be nice to sit by the fire and have a drink. But then what's the point? You just know it's not gonna be one, so you don't go down that path.
