Should've gone to the mountains dude - it's magical. You should visit Plovdiv - best city in Bulgaria, one of the oldest if not the oldest city in Europe, and the mountains that surround.
I love your country btw, always have so much fun, most personable and friendly of the northern countries. Amazing food - love your farmers markets - amazing beef, cheese milk and seafood. My favorite thing was going to the fish market - take some fresh seafood to make at the apartment and while shopping eat some on the spot made musscles or fried fish. Also love the music festivals. I remember having such a blast in a giant park in the center of The Hague that had deer and bunnies and all kinds of animals..good memories
