id likely be here for too long if i went into too many examples
but it makes for some of the most bizarre behaviour ive seen out of people
one that makes the point stick though
i enjoyed pulling pranks back in the day where i would get on an account and make it look like some really shitty player that the people on a server that i played in hated
then i would challenge them to 1v1s while we were in voice-chat (them not knowing its me)
i heard a motherfucker unironically scream at getting beat once
you think its bad when theyre on their own, but its something else when they know others are watching
some people will go absolutely ape beyond any rational thought at getting beat by someone they think to be worse than them
im not gonna say its lost on me either lol in my earlier days i had the same mindset
and we've probably all been there at some point, probably not immune to it even now, getting tilted is just what it is
but some people hold really retarded grudges ya
ive had some autists try to say theyre better because they killed me in a random pub somewhere because they were really upset that i beat them in actual match-ups
its hard to explain without using all the game terminology that u wouldnt know but yeah it was just really really dumb stuff
