The second annual Rookie Cup begins as eight of the top newcomers to the Waifu Wrestling Alliance battle across four huge opening round contests. Finishing off the first round of matches, a brand-new member to the WWA (and to our timeline!) battles a perennial WWA Dojo stalwart when Araya T. Ramirez faces Maaike Hoekstra.
Araya T. Ramirez, the girl from another time, aims to show everyone what the future of pro wrestling will look like with her highflying moves and incredible speed. In the ring, she is trying to win the Rookie Cup in an effort to increase its value in the future.
Maaike Hoekstra is a powerhouse competitor, competing in the WWA against all manner of opponents. Tonight she faces the biggest challenge of her career as she enters the Rookie Cup, and has intentions of claiming the whole thing!
The final match of the opening round is anybody's to take; will it be the time travelling highflyer, or the Frisian Freight Train herself? Only one can advance to the semifinals of the 2024 Rookie Cup!
