When you're saying triangle you're literally just calling a shape "3 corners" like a fucking caveman, but since most people don't know latin they just think its a funny word we use to describe the shape.
The same applies for most shapes.
I only realized this while learning Japanese and having a laugh at 三角 then realizing that I was actually the retard for the past 20 years.
