>>16193579No disrespect, but Valhalla is a place specifically made for warriors who kept on fighting until they got killed. Warriors are necessary for society so, it makes sense why it was seen in such high esteem to die in battle. Even Dante's Paradise depicts a very high place in heaven for the warrior's of the faith. Another thing to consider is that Hel or Helheim is not similar to the Christian Hell, it is not an entirely negative place. Hel does have a place for murderers and oathbreakers, but most of Hel actually isn't that bad. Many people would probably prefer to go to Hel than Valhalla.
