>>10566598Snub nose revolvers are awesome for conceal carry. The only truly concealable semi-auto hand guns are single stack. Those typically only hold like 1 or 2 more rounds than a revolver. Even 'compact' double stacks tend to print a lot.
If you're not going to carry, get a AR pistol in 9mm. 8 inch barrel. Fits under your car seat, will teach you basic rifle skills, and having a bunch of 9mm will be nice when you decide to get a handgun. Having AR skills will be nice when you get an AR rifle.
There are only a few rounds you need to know about, dont fall for the memes.
.22lr is great for plinking / small game
9mm, 38 special, .357 are great for handguns
5.56 is the standard AR15 round and is very capable.
308 is a big step up from 5.56 and has very similar ballistics so your 5.56 experience will carry over.
Shotguns... too many options to list here... but I will say that 12ga can be devastating.
I wouldn't get any caliber other than these until you have one of each.
