If your posts consists of 14 words like the OP it would take the reciever and additional 2800ms to read it. We cannot estimate how much he thinks about the response but for the sake of simplicity lets assume he replies with a single "k" as fast as he can. Now his very simple message must travel the same route as yours did adding another 20-200ms to the time until it arrives to your device. After you also need that 248ms to acknowledge the reply (disregarding its content for now)
In short you can die of anxiety in the time you acknowledge the reply anywhere between rougly 3300 and 3700 times
