That’s the point of the sunset here, it’s being covered/blocked by clouds which feature the ring of luci royal line on them
But the sunset itself, I noticed the sun is all the way to the end of the image in the left and the sun itself is very clear and bright, it looks like clear bright light. I think this is supposed to juxtaposition and contrast with the encroaching darkness as it is supposed to signify two polar extremes of only light and darkness and this summarizes the major plot points and themes of the story. Light and darkness.
