However simple the series was, these characters have become more important to me than some other ones in much more complex series. Funny actually, I got that little feel in the belly when I saw the OP image. Anyway, you should watch it, it's a pretty neat little comedy, simple, a bit absurd and overall nice. Its name is "Kill me baby", unless you don't like stuff like that, watch it.
