>>12428127Purely speaking psychologically most of it is acting out. Whether that be because of insecurity, discomfort of self or a lack of positive attention people will lash out at anyone who will allow them.
Online this is more pervasive as the internet dehumanizes the experience and anonymity gives people the assumption they are "safe" to be however they want to be. They act vastly different from how they would if they were having a real conversation.
There's really no rhyme or reason other than to make you just as upset as they are. Misery loves company and when they can project anything onto someone else they get attention. Remember when we talked about not enough attention? When people can't get it in a positive way they'll start acting out to get negative attention.
There's nothing really all that complex to ponder. Insecurity is the main motivator for people to be mean to one another. Something as simple as "I don't think I look good" can be parlayed into the most awful of speech.
Now you know and knowing is half the battle. The other half is excessive violence.
