Valentine's Day arrived with its usual flair of romance. But for Raquel Durango, the day held little significance. Alone in her hotel room, Raquel sat in silence as she looked down Spaghetti Town streets. Outside, the city had a myriad of couples holding hands, exchanging gifts, and whispering sweet nothings. But for Raquel, her Valentines had a different kind of date, the wrestling kind. But she knew better, true love, like true friendship, seemed to be a lie emboldened by fools. Besides, loving someone meant putting a target over the head of the loved one. Raquel knew she couldn't afford that worry. But, as much as she felt disdain towards all the couples celebrating this day, deep down she knew she was jealous.
As she stared out the window, memories flooded her mind. The Latina remembered a face she had long wanted to forget, but couldn't to this day. To be young...for a second a faint smile appeared when she remembered her teenage years. Her young self believed that they would always be together, but those dreams had long since been shattered. Six years ago, on Valentine's Day, the moment she took control of her father's Cartel.
>It simply doesn't work like that...
Her mumbles were interrupted by a knock at the door. Raquel's right-hand goon, Rodolfo, entered the room:
>Happy Valentine's Day, Jefa. The car to the arena is ready. And I have great news for you, something that happened last show.
Raquel grabbed her jacket and walked towards the room with a confident smile. A smirk that betrayed the feelings beneath her stoic facade.
>Keep that news to yourself for now Rodolfo, Reina needs my complete attention. Prepare some coke for when I'm back, I plan to celebrate this night by myself.
