>>6847930There's plenty of stuff to expand still, throwing a bunch of characters and leaving them to rot after they serve their purpose of being nuisances to the protagonist doesn't really click with me. I've got to keep the plot running without forgetting about side characters because I don't want to fall into Salinger's mistake (The Catcher in The Rye doesn't offer much development to begin with). I'm 12k into the first draft which clearly lacks a shit ton of things I'll add up later, getting to let's say, 30 or 35k might enable me to go all out with the plot twists i have in mind.
