Also, since you'll probably find yourself traveling west into the Rockies for recreation or whatever, interstate 70 gets severely backed-up on Sunday afternoons as people return to the city.
The rest of the time 70 moves fairly quickly in and out of the moun'ains.
If you like horses, there are many ranch properties with easy access to the city and the Rockies.
