If you strip away memory, thoughts, perception and emotions away, would anything remain? Is consciousness a product of this or is it stomething standalone? I don't know. As I see it we are a product of casuality, immortality of the "physical" body I would see as something impossible, how would you go about doing that? If that was so however, it would ultimately remove the purpose of reproduction albeit it would likely remain in the body as the pleasure systems you speak of, which would be this drive manifested whether or not you are able or in the need to reproduce. What I'm trying to figure out here is what amount of you is driven by this, the will to reproduce or the will to remain in form short term, is there anything that is not driven by this? Could the drive be there without you knowingly reflecting over it?
