Second, there's still plenty of the latter (pic related, for example). And I'm sure the RSS feed problem could be easily fixed if you brought that fact to the staff's attention. They've always been quick in responding to me, so I know they'll be happy to do the same for you. I understand that it's not for everyone, though.
