First off, it never actually happened since it would've been recorded by the Romans if it had. Second, the point is Jesus was punishing his fellow jews for violating the Torah. He literally could not care less about gentiles or their affairs since he believed them to be animals in human form. That much is clear from his interaction with the samaritan woman. Rabbi worshippers pretending to be anti-jew are a curse to us all.
